I have hi-lited the alphabet "Lam" in the Verse 21 below. 
The total count of hi-lited "Lams" comes to 8 and NOT 7:

However the real question is not whether he made mistakes. Remember most of his work was perhaps manual.

MY RESPONSE TO IT WAS:

Here is the MOST IMPORTANT issue... Rashad did make errors for one reason or other when he counted one "lam" short in Verse 30:21 and one "nun" extra in Sura 68...  
NOW WHAT HAPPENS IF WE CORRECT THESE ERRORS... 
DO THE NEW "FREE OF ERROR COUNTS" UPHOLD THE MIRACLE???

(Obviously, there was no rebuttal).
